On May 9th, we celebrate the true heroes in our lives – our moms. They rescue us from disaster, are always one step ahead of the game, will go to the ends of the world for us, and somehow still have time to manage lives of their own. Moms are probably the reason why our economy is still even functioning. I don’t know the science or logic behind it, but I’m sure it’s true. The classic pharmacy flowers, cards, and box of chocolates will never fail simply because all your momma ever desires are simple gestures of appreciation and love. But, how about this year, we try something a little bit more unique (and we can keep the pharmacy trip as a plan b). Sound good? 

Try to think about all the characteristics that make your mom your mom.  For example, my mom loves to show us her love with selfless acts of kindness – she cooked for us every night growing up, she packed us lunch every day and picked us up from school, and she drove us to all our sports events, school events, friends houses, parties, doctors appointments, and much more.  So when thinking about a gift that would best suit her, I ask myself, “What would make her life easier? What would surprise her? what would be of good use to her? What would she get enjoyment out of? What would bring her inner child out and a big smile to her face?” I hope some of these items down below answer these questions for you. If not, plan B it is!
