Meg's February Favorites - Impress the Guest Homepage

A new month! February has been quite fulfilling. If you’re reading this, I hope you’ve had a great month filled with new beginnings, new goals and a healthy & happy mindset. Something new I learned this month: uncertainty should bring you clarity instead of anxiety. Because you don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow, you should always go for it. When I first started Impress the Guest, I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted out of the blog. Normally, the fear and anxiety of that alone would have been enough for me to not move forward. But just like with everything else in life, you’re never going to be able to exceed your potential unless you step out of your comfort zone. Being uncomfortable and uncertain has made me work harder than ever. I of course, like everyone else, have doubts at times but never ones that last. I constantly remind myself of the place I was in when I started the blog, about 2 and a half months ago and the place I’m in now. The amount of things I’ve learned and continue to learn surprises me every day. I’ve run into a lot of obstacles that have freaked me out at first but have taught me a lot after. Point I’m trying to make is that I would have never envisioned being where I am today, a year ago. A year ago, I thought I was going to law school. Never in a million years would I have believed you if you told me I’d be here today, writing this, for you. But that’s usually how life works. What you plan never goes as planned and the situation you find yourself in is usually one that you’d never thought you’d be in. So, do that crazy thing that scares the sh*t out of you today. Make that first move into the right direction. Yes, you’ll struggle…but struggling is part of the journey. Enjoy it and look at each struggle as getting one step closer to reaching your dream.

On another note, here are a few things that I’ve had my eye on this past month. Hope they inspire you to treat yourself or treat someone else. 😉
