Outdoor Decor Ideas For Summer 2021

Spring is finally here, and Summer is shortly approaching. And this summer has a lot of making up to do if you ask me. If you have an outdoor space of any type (balcony, patio, terrace, backyard, front porch), then it’s time to get down, dirty, and decorating.

Before starting your outdoor design journey, you need to consider that whatever items you’re envisioning for your space have to be labeled weather-friendly. Materials that endure the elements include teak, wicker & rattan, and metal. There is an endless amount of different design styles you can approach your space with, such as boho, chic, modern, vintage, and much more. I believe, however, that your home doesn’t need a particular theme to look put together. All you need are different pieces that fit your style and personality. Remember, a house is not a home without your personal touch seeping through every inch of the house.

If Covid taught us anything, it’s how much we appreciate the outside world. This summer, make your outdoor world just as unique and special as your inner world. Hopefully, this list can inspire you to start enjoying your backyard and giving it the attention it deserves. Don’t you want to stare outside of your window and see your style blossoming next to nature?

If you have a seating area, make sure to add pillows/throws for color, texture, and comfort. Your guests will appreciate not having to sit on uncomfortable outdoor furniture or endure chilly summer evenings.

Keep things light - especially if your backyard is big (it can get scary). There are outdoor-friendly string lights, floor lights, lamps, and many more options available for lighting up the dark skies of the night.

VASES & HURRICANES

Vases and hurricanes are great decor options for showing off your unique style. I love adding hurricanes, which are essentially vases that hold candles, to any outdoor space. Lit up hurricanes automatically give off romantic and warm energy that everyone can feel embraced by.

FIRE PIT

A great centerpiece for any conversation area. Sitting by the fire and talking about life connects us to our ancestors and brings everyone together in a warm and inviting way.

Easily get rid of annoying buzzing and itching while simultaneously adding style with nature's famous exterminator, citronella. Citronella comes in several forms: candles, incense, oils, lighting, and any other aromatic items you could think of.
