Nothing will impress your guest more than a pristine home. But beyond that, maintaining a clean home is extremely important for keeping out germs, infectious diseases, mold, dust, etc. If we’ve learned anything from coronavirus, it’s that we all had to step up our cleaning game. That being said, I decided to write this blog post to reiterate the importance and the benefits of keeping a clean home/space. I also just figured that not everyone knows what to buy. Stock up on these products below to save plenty of trips to the grocery store and have everything you need, when you need it.

1. Magic Eraser

Magic erasers are a household staple. Made from Melamine foam, they trap dirt particles and remove stains from any walls, counter tops, tables, materialistic items (such as shoes) etc. All you have to do is dip the eraser in water and start scrubbing.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Original, Cleaning Pads with Durafoam, 9 Count – $6.97

2. Disinfecting Wipes

Disinfecting wipes are a must because they kill 99.9 percent of germs. And yes, your sponges and rags do not compare. In fact, your sponges and rags actually shift bacteria from object to object, leading to a higher amount of contamination.

Lysol Disinfecting Wipes, Lemon & Lime Blossom, 80ct – $4.47

Micro-Scientific Opti-Cide Max Disinfecting Wipes (2 Pack) – 320 Wipes – $28.98

3. All purpose cleaner – Seventh Generation or Mrs. Meyers

You should use nothing but an all purpose cleaner to wipe down your surfaces. They are specifically made to clean grease and dirt off your counter tops, tables, etc. The brands I have listed below are eco-friendly and, in my opinion, your best bet because they lack bleach. I don’t know about you but I don’t find it pleasant to walk into a house that smells like bleach.

Seventh Generation All Purpose Cleaner, Free & Clear, 23 oz, 4 Pack – $15.96

Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Multi-Surface Everyday Cleaner, Basil Scent, 16 ounce bottle (Pack of 3) – $11.37

4. All purpose microfiber cloths

According to cleaning experts, all purpose microfiber cloths are the best for wiping down surfaces. The reason is because cloths capture the dirt and remove it, whereas a rag or towel kind of just drags it around. These cloths are also washable and reusable. It’s recommended to wipe down your surfaces in an “s” shape for the most effective clean.

General Purpose Microfiber Cleaning Cloth-Reusable 12 Pack (49012PDQ), Blue, 12 Count – $10.99

5. Vinegar

Though vinegar is not the most pleasant of smells, the acidity in the vinegar is quite powerful for cleaning. Vinegar can get rid of red wine stains, urine stains, counter top stains, etc. Vinegar can also be used to shine wooden floors and windows. White vinegar has the most acidity, making it the best vinegar for cleaning. However, it is extremely potent so I would recommend diluting it with water before using.

30% Vinegar Pure Natural & Safe Industrial Strength Concentrate for Home & Garden – $23.95

6. Scrub Brush
